Flight instructor rating
A flight instructor rating lets you give the training and endorsements other pilots need. It sits on top of a commercial licence under GACAR Part 61.
Prerequisites
Hold a CPL (or higher) with the ratings you intend to teach and a valid medical.
Instructional training
Learn the fundamentals of instructing, lesson planning, briefing and assessing, and demonstrate teaching from the right seat.
Test
Pass the instructor theory and a skill test that assesses your ability to teach.
